I send this letter to you from my brother in law.1 Elizabeth was the nurse, who on my poor sisters request was selected to look after the poor two little ones when Bertha was gone.2

M's sister, Bertha, died on 7 September 1861. She had two children, George Ferdinand St Helen Doughty and Clara Bertha Doughty.
