From George Sprigg to Ferdinand von Mueller   12 Aug 1863

August 12 [186]31

Sir

Herewith I have the honor to return you the letter from Mr Strachan2 which was laid before the Council yesterday. The Council are fully sensible that it would be very desirable to effect an exchange with Mr Strachan of some male birds for his females but they wish to leave the matter entirely in your hands as it must be for you to say whether it be profitable to catch the male birds now in the Aviary.3

I have the honor to be

Sir

Your most Obedt Servant

Geo Sprigg

Secretary

To Dr Mueller F.R.S.
