Beddome (1863). See Lucas (2026) for discussion of the dates of publication.
At this period the library comprised M's personal collection as well as items such as this presented or purchased from Government funds. He offered his personal library to the Government in M to J. McCulloch, 15 August 1864, reporting that it had been valued at £1,100, and sold it for £600 in 1865; see M to J. McCulloch, 8 January 1865 and notes thereto, and M to J. McCulloch, 21 January 1865. For a list of the over 1,000 items in the library after the purchase, see 'Catalogue of the Library of the botanical Department, Melbourne' (B65.10.01, pp. 18-25).
Requisition not found, works requested not identified. Moore minuted approval for M's request and forwarded it to the Government Printer. M noted the action on 23 November 'with best thanks'.
