My dear Doctor

I beg to inform that the Council will have much pleasure in arranging the payment of the […]2 so as to entitle you to a Life Membership of the Society and the Secretary has been directed to take the necessary steps in the matter I sent your memoranda3 to Professor McCoy as neither he nor Dr Madden were at the meeting yesterday. Dr Madden is anxious to have a meeting of the Committee and says any day after 3 o'clock will suit him.

The Council would be glad to have some of Mr Hinde's birds if they were at a reasonable price. Will you write to him & ask him to name a price at which he can deliver them in Melbourne. If you prefer it the Secretary will write. In that case please return the letter to him.

I am

My dear Doctor

Yours faithfully4

To Dr Mueller F.R.S.
