[M. le docteur Mueller (de Melbourne) annonce l'envoi de la provision de graines d'Eucalyptus globulus qu'il s'est empressé, avec son obligeance ordinaire si bien connue, de procurer à la Société, sur sa demande.]
[Dr. Mueller (of Melbourne) announces the dispatch of the supply of seeds of Eucalyptus globulus that he has hastened, with his usual well-known helpfulness, to procure at the request of the Society.2]
Eucalyptus globulus
Letter not found. The text given here is from Bulletin de la Société impériale zoologique d'acclimatation, series 2, vol. 1 (1864), p. 480. The letter is dated to May as the latest likely date that it could have been written to be reported at the meeting of the Society held on 15 July 1864.
The seeds were probably bought from a seed merchant in Hobart; see M to C. Darling, 19 August 1864. Request for seeds not found; see, however, M to the Société Impériale Zoologique d'Acclimatation, April 1864 (in this edition as 64-04-00e).
