An album of photographs presented to Neumayer at the time of his departure from Melbourne is in the Neumayer-Archiv, Museum für Naturkunde, Bad Dürkheim. It includes a copy of the photograph of M published in R. Pescott (1982), p. 34.
No image of Neumayer has been identified at MEL, but see M to J. Haast, 29 July 1862 (in this edition as 62-07-29b) and notes thereto.
