I have the honor to transmit herewith two copies of Captain Beddomes Work part fourteen on the Ferns of Southern India received by the last Mail from his Excellency the Governor of Madras1

The sender of the letter is in this case not recorded on the file copy but would have been, as in other cases, the Under Secretary, J. Moore.
