Notes for Mr Bentham

Myriophyllum latifolium has the (emersed) leaves sometimes quaternate. Leichhardt found it at Archers lagoon.3

Ceratophyllum demersum is mentioned by Dr Hooker as a Tasmanian plant fl. Tasm II, 3624

It is an enigma to me, why the specimens returned from Kew always show so many larvae of insects. It was particularly evident in the Acaciae recently returned, and which I thought were perfectly free of insects when forwarded.
