From John Moulines to Ferdinand von Mueller   15 Sep 1864

East Collingwood

September 15th 1864

Dear Sir

As this Council has [given] the necessary instructions to fence in twenty acres of the Public Reserve to be known as "Darling Park" I have the honor to make application for an assortment of trees, plants, & shrubs suitable for planting during the present season and a liberal supply of the seed called "Victoria He kea"1 which I believe to be excellently adapted for Hedge rows and in partitioning the ground would form a graceful ornament. Any suggestions you may be pleased to offer regarding the cultivation of the same will be received as inestimable favors.2

I have the honor to be

Sir

Your most Obedient Servant
