Dear Dr Anderson.

I received from Conferenzrath Prof Dr Rafn of Copenhagen, a venerable friend of mine, a number of large letters accompanied by papers relating to the Royal Danish Archaeologic Society for transmission to India. I have taken the liberty of forwarding the whole to you, begging to effect the final transmission or should you feel difficulty in doing so pray ask the Babon Rajendralal Mitra of Calcutta or Meerza Ali Mahomed Khan of Bombay to be so friendly to despatch the parcels. Both these Gentlemen are connected with the Scandinavian Society of Antiquarians.

Would you be so friendly to give me a line of acknowledgement, so that I may show to Prof Rafn that the parcels have reached India.1

I have several publications & some plants to send to your Garden & Herbarium, but the pressure of work prevented me affecting the transit by this steamer.

With kindest regards,

yr

Ferd. Mueller2
