From Nikolai Saenger to Ferdinand von Mueller   [Nov 1864]

[Dr Mueller also laid before the council a letter he had received from Dr. Saenger, of Moscow, in answer to one which he had written1 making inquiries about the possibility of procuring from there ova of the sturgeon, for introduction to Australian waters. Dr. Saenger is of opinion that the attempt would almost certainly fail, but promised to make further inquiries into the matter.]
