To Joseph Hooker   25 October 1865

25/10/65

I have written at lenght, dear Dr Hooker, in an other letter.1 I omitted to mention that a large turf of Xanthorrhoea minor has been sent to Kew pr Great Britain under care of Dr Alexander. It ought to be a fine greenhouse plant. I can send more of it, should it travel well. I am anxiously looking for a Papyrus plant.

Will on arrival of the Great Britain you kindly send for the plant.
