From Morton Allport to Ferdinand von Mueller   9 Apr 1866

Hobart Town

9th April 1866

Dear Sir,

I feel highly flattered by your offer to propose me for the Linnean Society and gladly avail myself of that offer.

By Mr F. Dobson I send you seeds of Nymphaea alba raised by myself and have given him full instructions as to the best method of growing them. They flowered beautifully this year.

Have you [...]?1 if you have not, I will send seeds or plants next season.

Yours sincerely

Morton Allport
