I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated the 19th Inst.2 covering the list of trees and plants which you so kindly offer for planting in the Royal Park, also suggesting that a further supply of […]3 may be purchased from Messrs Handyside & McMillan. The Council desire me to thank you sincerely for the liberal supply granted for the Park and to intimate that they do not think it will be necessary to purchase any at present.

The list forwarded by you has been handed to Mr Mitchell for his information and on Friday morning I propose sending him one of the gardeners to take delivery of the trees at the Botanic Gardens.

I have the honor to be

Sir

Your most Obedt Servant
