Toon's letter would have reported a resolution carried at the meeting held on 4 July 1866, in response to M to J. Toon, 4 July 1867 (in this edition as 66-07-04a); the text of the resolution is given in notes to that letter.
Toon was Honorary Secretary of the Horticultural Society of Victoria. Letter not found; it was minuted at the meeting held on 8 August 1866.
