In supplementing my communication of the 23rd Instant2 I have the honor to submit to your Excellency copies of despatches from the Officer in charge of the Leichhard's3 Search Expedition to the Ladies Committee, as also Copy of the last letter written by the unfortunate Explorer D McIntyre to his uncle D Campbell of Glengower of this Colony.4

I beg further to inform your Excellency that in the course of the next day a consultation of the Ladies' Committee with Mr Campbell will be held when it is hoped means will be devised for the continuation of the search operations during the remainder of the period of two years, as contemplated in the original stipulations. The result of these deliberations and the nature of the arrangements arising from them I shall have the honor to submit to your Excellency at the earliest moment.
