To George Bentham   22 September 1866

2/9/66

I trust, dear Mr Bentham, that long before this letter reaches you, the remaining Compositae will have come into your hands. On the causes of the delay of sending the plants I have fully explained myself.1

I was pleased to receive the additional proofsheets of the 3 vol.2 & have offered some observations thereon.

After the arrangements for the Exhibition here3 have passed I shall probably have leisure to work well away on the Monopetaleae. By the next months I shall have several Collections in from Queensland.

Trusting you are well I remain your

regardful

Ferd. Mueller
