October 11th 18661
Sir
I have the honor to solicit that you will be pleased to cause enquiries to be made of the reason why the sum of £26.3.0 remitted by the Colonial Treasury to the Crown Agent London on the 25th November 1865 to be paid by the latter to Messrs Veitch & Sons can not be rendered available,2 as I am informed by the Trustees of the above Firm that the money has not been received by them on application at the Crown Agent's as I requested them to do.
I have the honor to be,
Sir,
your very obedient
Ferd. Mueller.
The honorable the Treasurer3
