Dr. Jas. C. Cox, M.D., of Sydney, Author of a scientific enumeration of Australian Land-and Freshwater Shells2 and now engaged on an illustrated work on the same branch of science,3 is desirous of becoming a fellow of the L.S., and I feel thus much pleasure to be his sponsor for recommending that Gentleman to that honor, as I am certain that he will prove a useful and valuable member.
