Botanic Gardens
30 July 1867
Sir
By Dr Mueller's desire, who I regret to state was obliged to go for a short period to Queenscliff as his failing health made it imperative to him to seek restoration of it by change of air and a little relaxation from his onerous labours, I have the honor of acknowledging the receipt of Your letter of the 24 inst. in which you inform him that the City Council has kindly consented to enclose a piece of land lyeing between the Immigrants Home and the Yarra on the Eastern side of the approach to Prince's Bridge. I am also instructed to return to the Council and to You Dr Muellers thanks for having kindly acceded to his suggestion as this will enable him to carry out some improvements in this conspicous locality.
I have the honor to be
Sir
Your very obedient
E. B. Heyne
E G. Fitzgibbon Esq
Town Clerk
