Dear Sir

On arrival of your kind letter and of the botan. specimens you were good enough to forward Dr Mueller was at Queenscliff where he had gone to restore his health. I informed him of the arrival of the above and he intended to write to you himself and thank you. Having gone however by the last mail for a few weeks to Western Australia, his medical adviser having recommended him a short sea voyage, he had no time to adress you before his departure and he requested me to acknowledge the receipt of your donation and to thank you on his behalf. I expect his return by the mail in November, when he doubtlessly will give you full particulars on your collection. I have the honor to be
