Letter not found. The text given here is from 'Correspondence' in a report of the meeting of the Committee of the Bendigo Mechanics' Institute held on 28 April 1868 (Bendigo advertiser, 29 April 1888, p. 3).
The letter was 'Referred to the Building Committee, with instructions to plant twenty trees on the institute reserve'.
