Garden 20/5/68.

Sir

I have to thank you for your communication, dated 18 May and just received,1 in reply to which I beg to inform you, that Ferry-Keeper Brandon, has since my last communication2 effected some repairs of the walks and improvements to the river-bank near his place. I shall consider it my duty to inform you of any future necessity of improvement, should the ferry-keeper again be inattentive to the needful measures for the safety and convenience of the public.3

I have the honor to be, Sir

your very obedient

Ferd. Mueller

Cl. Hodgkinson Esq.
