Melbourne Botanic Garden

12/6/68

By the Lincolnshire, dear Dr Hooker, you will receive Box 42, containing Monochlamydeae according to the byefollowing Index.1 Pray inform Mr Bentham, that the rest of the Laurineae, the Amarantaceae & Salsolaceae will be shipped within the next weeks by the first klipper, perhaps also the Polygoneae, unless I am hindered by unforseen interruptions. I intend then to send the Coniferae, Cycadeae & Casuarinae first, keeping the Proteaceae tilthe last, but shall be guided by Mr Bentham's wishes.2 As yet I have no information of the arrival of Box 36 pr True Britain,3 of 37 pr. Dover Castle, of 38 pr Norfolk and of 39 & 40 pr Great Britain.4 By the Essex last month I sent a large box (41) chiefly with Euphorbiaceae.

With regardful salutation

Ferd von Mueller
