To Joseph Hooker1    10 September 1868

10/9/68

Dear Dr Hooker,

Allow me to ask, whether you know of any more recent work on the diseases of plants. Altho’ I see many literary notices, I obviously at the distance cannot see all, and so some important publications may have escaped notice. With Prof de Bary I am in letter-interchange since some years, but he has brought no very new researches out, nor has he collected all that is known into a general work concerning diseases of plants2

Yours with best regards

Ferd. von Mueller
