My dear Sir

I write a few lines to say that the boxes per Norfolk and Dover Castle have arrived safely

I have also to thank you for your letter of the 1st Jany. I shall be very glad when I can get on again with the Australian Flora as I should really be anxious to get through the Phaenogamous plants whilst I retain health and strength to work[.]1 I have now far advanced the Brasilian Caesalpinieae & hope very soon to set to Australian Verbenaceae

Yours very sincerely

George Bentham
