From Ferdinand von Mueller to Henry C. Manners-Sutton   30 July 1869

Melbourne bot Garden

30/7/69

Being informed by the Acclimation Society, dear Mr Manners-Sutton, that his Excellency desired some Vine-cuttings, I beg now to send 87 varieties named, according to list enclosed.1 You will find among them a cutting of the Great Raison Grape "Sultana,2 a variety yet so exceedingly rare in Australia. You will kindly also remember that the botanic Garden is entitled to the credit of having reared all these vines and that very many of them are imported directly by myself, in addition to such as the Acclimation Society received

With best regards

Ferd. von Mueller.3
