To George Bentham   6 September 1869

6/9/69

I received back the Verbenaceae & Myoporinae quite safely, dear Mr Bentham. The close examination of their ovules seems to have given unexpected important results.

Lately I have got a series of Mr Schultz's plants of Arnhem's Land, among them Helicteres spicata of Roxb & a few others new to Australia.1

Mr Forrest brought also a few plants from the interior of W.A. Among these are a new Eriostemon and a few others apparently unknown.2

I trust the supplemental Proteaceae &c will reach you timely & in safety.3

Let me hope you are happy & well

Always your,

Ferd von Mueller.
