To Joseph Hooker   11 September 1869

11/9/69

By this post, dear Dr Hooker, I beg to send again 69 select species of seeds. Some you had not before. Those, you not require, will doubtless be of use to the Canary Islands, Madeira, or some such place for interchanges through the Consuls.1

Pray mention to Mr Bentham, that Prof Lindberg has figured and described in "Finska Vet. Soc. Förhandlingar IX, 60" a Pimelea viridula, which I believe to be Pimelea clavata.2

With best wishes

Ferd von Mueller

Pimelea viridula

Pimelea clavata

See J. Hooker to M, 24 November 1869.
Bentham (1863-78), vol. 6, p. 26, treats Lindberg’s species as a synonym of P. clavata , citing M.
