Melbourne bot. Garden

2/4/70

Sir

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of two copies of Major Beddome's Flora sylvatica part III,1 which have been deposited in the library of the botanic Garden.

I have the honor to be,

Sir,

your very obedient servant

Ferd. von Mueller M.D.,

Gov. Botanist

W.H. Odgers Esq.

Undersecretary

Beddome (1869-74). Transmitted with W. Odgers to M, 2 April 1870 (in this edition as 70-04-02a). Turner (2012), p. 303, indicates the 'Earliest confirmed date' of publication of this part is April 1870; the date this part arrived in Melbourne suggests that it was earlier. See Lucas (2026) for discussion of the date of publication.
