Sir,
I am directed by the Chief Secretary to inform you that by the outgoing mail he instructed the Agent General to convey the thanks of this Government to Sir John Young for His Excellency's valuable gift of seeds of Canadian trees, and that he would be glad now to learn on what date they reached your hands; how they have been disposed of; and if they have been planted by whom it was done and when.
I have the honor to be
Sir
Your most obedient servant
W. H. Odgers1
