Es ist meine angenehme Pflicht Ihnen mitzutheilen, dass Sir Redm. Barry heute um 2 Uhr nachmittags sich die Ehre erbittet, Sie im Melbourne Club treffen zu können, um Sie von dort nach der öffentlichen Bibliothek und nach dem Universitäts Gebäude zu führen. Haben Sie die Gewogenheit, edler Herr Baron, mich zu unterrichten, ob dieses Arrangement Ihren Wünschen entspricht; denn sonst kann ich Sir Redmond ersuchen, eine andere Zeit für Ihren Besuch der beiden genannten Anstalten zu wählen; oder bestimmen Sie gütig selbst. Da jedoch als Judge Sir Redmond nicht immer frei von Geschäften ist, möchte er nicht unbedingt zu jeder Zeit habhaft sein.
Sollte Morgen (Freitag) das Wetter heiter sein, so würde ich mir die Ehre Ihres Besuches für meinen Garten erbitten, falls Ihnen der Tag genehm ist, u. vielleicht bestimmen Sie selbst gütig die Stunde.

It is my pleasant duty to inform you, that Sir Redmond Barry requests the honour to meet you in the Melbourne Club today at 2 o'clock in the afternoon to give you a guided tour from there to the Public Library and to the University building. Be so kind to advise me, noble Baron, if this arrangement accords with your wishes; otherwise I can request Sir Redmond to designate a different time for your visit to the two above-named institutes, or you can kindly name your own time. However, as judge, Sir Redmond is not always free from engagements and may not necessarily be available at any time.
Should the weather be fine tomorrow (Friday), I should like to request the honour of your visit to my Gardens, if the day is agreeable to you, and perhaps you yourself could kindly choose the hour.
