Melb bot Garden
20/5/71
It is at a late night hour, dear Dr Story, when I feel very tired, that I write these few lines, to acknowledge thus early the very kind way in which you speak of my poor discourse.1
I can send you more Teaplants, Cork oaks &c, if you will let me know by what channel. I can then send a root of the medicinal Rhubarb at the same time.
The two water plants kindly sent in your letter are a Chara (without fruit) and Myriophyllum variifolium J Hooker.
Trusting your health is firm I remain, dear Doctor, your very regardful
Ferd. von Mueller.
