From Ferdinand von Mueller to Frederick McCoy   14 June 1871

14/6/71

I will write to Maxwell, dear Professor, and tell him, that he must have patience. It must be truly vexatious to you to be impeded in your work by those who can form no judgment about it;1 in my department the complications are worse and at times such as well nigh might bring to me despair.

Always your very regardful

Ferd von Mueller

I will order the additional quadrupeds &c &c.

See F. McCoy to M, 12 June 1871 (in this edition as 71-06-12a).
