Since I last wrote to you, dear Mr Bentham, I had occasion to reexamine newly sent fruit of Strangea linearis and to get flowers also.2 The latter do not differ generically from Grevillea, but the fruit is so different from any of that Genus and so peculiar in its membranous seed appendage (carefully described in the Fragmenta V, 38)3 that about the generic peculiarity of the Strangea no doubts now remain.4

I add Molloya as Strangea cynanchocarpa as a second species and have given diagnoses in the current number of the Fragmenta.5
