From Ferdinand von Mueller to William Guilfoyle   18 Feb 1872

Melbourne bot Garden

18/2/72

It is very kind of you, dear Mr Guilfoyle, to send me the seeds of Cedrela Australis. They are quite developed, and I trust therefore will germinate in my frames. In accordance with your suggestion I will write to Mr Rob. Marshall, and ask him also to dry plants for me.1 Various hindrances have stood in the way of my working on plants lately. But I hope to have several of your plants in the next number of the Fragmenta.2 The Marara will interest me much.

With much gratitude for all your goodness

Ferd. von Mueller

I have matched the flowering & fruiting specimens of the Cathartocarpus already, but have not yet fully completed the comparison.
