From Ferdinand von Mueller to John Robertson   17 Mar 1872

Melbourne bot. Garden

17/3/72.

Honored Sir

Dr Wagner of Gotha bids me to convey to the Government of N. S Wales his best thanks for the supply of valuable statistic documents,1 which have been utilized for the Diplomatic Almanac2 of 1872. He further solicits, that annually any new statistic records may be furnished to him, in order that always the most recent account may be given of your colony. As this will be for the benefit of N. S. Wales itself, I felt no scruples to bring the Editors wish under your favorable notice The Almanac has appeared now uninterruptedly for 109 years and is used at every court & ambassady.3

Yours most respectfully

Ferd. von Mueller.
