From Ferdinand von Mueller to Albert Purchas   1 Oct 1872

Melbourne bot. Garden,

1/10/72

If you will be so kind, dear Major Purchase,1 to submit to the Board of trustees my proposition of taking again charge of the plants in the old Cemetery, I shall gladly attend to their order, before the hot weather causes a ruin among the plants and before the season of sorting annuals is lost.2

Regardfully

Ferd. von Mueller

i.e. Purchas.
