A very similar item appeared in the issue of 27 February, p. 44, which may have been a repeat of information from the same letter:

We are under great obligations to Baron Von Meuller (sic), of Melbourne, the distinguished Botanist and Director of the Gardens of Melbourne, for a collection of New and Rare Seeds, many never before introduced into our State and some new to other States.

Also, for a collection of valuable Papers, for which favors we are truly grateful.

Mueller.

The Melbourne Botanic Gardens were not granted the epithet ‘Royal’ until 1958.

Further mention of these shrubs and trees has not been found.
