Melbourne bot Garden

24/1/73

I send you, dear Dr Hector, fresh seeds of three species of Kentia from Lord Howe's Island, which will thrive in your forest groves or other sheltered localities along with your own Kentia sapida. They are stately plants and not easily obtained. The description I gave in the 7th vol. of fragm. phytogr. Austr.1

Always your friend

Ferd von Mueller

I shall require various seeds from you by & bye.
