His Majesty the King of the Netherlands having expressed a desire to obtain a few specimens of the

Alsofilla's2 or Australian Ferntree

I have the honor to request your kind assistance in obtaining the desired plants.

I also beg to inform you that His Majesty is prepared to go to any expense, desiring to have the best specimen of this tree in Europe in H. M. Gardens.
