To Joseph Hooker 1    23 April 1873

Melbourne bot Garden

In my principal letter through the Colonial Office, dear Dr Hooker, I have already apprized you of my having sent by the P. & O. Steamer a small box with samples of products of tar, of which I now enclose a list.2 The Company has taken the case free to Southampton.

With best regards

Ferd. von Mueller
