Allow me to ask you, dear and rev. friend, whether you have in your library a work by Gov. Hunter on N.S. Wales.1 If so, could you kindly copy for me the passus referring to the Musa seen by Sir Jos. Banks on Endeavour River or some other part of N. E. Australia.

My "struggle for existence" which has ended in almost complete ruin has prevented me from writing to friends like yourself for a long time past.

If you attach any value to the series of my fragmenta, I will send you them so far as they are still available, if you will let me know what you already possess of the work

With best regards

sincerely your friend

Ferd. von Mueller.

Hunter (1793).
