There are three Bailey specimens of Eragrostis elongata (the modern synonym of Poa interrupta) at MEL, all from Brisbane. The two with dates are given as March 1873, but that is inconsistent with Bailey's reference to M's Fragmenta where M's major treatment of the grasses is in B73.11.03 and B73.12.01; thus the earliest plausible date for this letter fragment is 1874 and it is dated accordingly.
