Sir,

In reply to your letter of the 12th instant1 I am directed to inform you that there is no provision for such an Expenditure as you propose on account of the Horticultural Exhibition to be held at Florence; and that in the event of its being considered desirable that Victoria should be represented thereat, the necessary arrangements will be made by the Honorable the Minister of Agriculture.
