I thought, dear Mr Berthoud, that I had acknowledged your kind sending; but it seems not to have been done. In the extraordinary amount of daily writing I must have overlooked this. I thank you for friendliness; but until you come again to Melbourne I would ask you to concentrate any efforts of yours for me on fresh water shells & on water plants.1
