I have the honor to inform you, that I am proceeding this day in the Steamer Pharos to Wilson's promontory,1 for continuing there some phytologic researches commenced on that place in 1853. It is likely that I shall be back at the end of this or the beginning of next week. Mr. Luehmann, my Assistant, is left in charge of the Department during my absense.
