To Robert Ramsay   31 October 1874

Botanic Museum

Melbourne, 31st. October 1874

Sir

I have the honor to bring under your notice that the plaster of the ceiling in the room attached to the Museum building, which is occupied by the assistant, has partly fallen down, causing some damage, and that the remainder is also in a dangerous state.

I would therefore respectfully request that you will be good enough to desire the Honorable the Minister of Public Works to send an officer of his department to inspect the same, with a view of having the necessary repairs effected as speedily as possible.

I have the honor to append a requisition form to this effect and remain

Sir

Your very obedient servant

Ferd. von Mueller1
