From William Woolls to Ferdinand von Mueller   11 Oct 1875

Richmond1

Oct. 11/75

My dear Doctor,

Will you kindly tell me whether the enclosed "Asterolasia" is a distinct species, or whether I am to regard it as the mountain variety of A. correifolia?

The flowers & leaves are larger in every respect, than those of the Parramatta shrub, & the pedicels are longer.

Mr Bentham's description does not seem to include this form of it.2

Yours very sincerely

W. Woolls

Baron F. von Mueller C.M.G

Asterolasia correifolia

NSW.

Bentham (1863-78), vol. 1, p 350.

MS found with a specimen of Asterolasia mollis (MEL 708651).
