To Edward Ramsay   30 October 1875

30/10/75.

Yesterday, dear Mr Ramsay, I have received from Mr Walter1 good flowering specimens of the Dendrobium from the Duke of York's Island.2 These leave no doubt, that it is merely a variety of D. antennatum of Lindt from New Guinea, the inner sepals being some what shorter and broader than in the typic form. The species—, so far as I am aware—, is as yet nowhere under culture.

Regardfully your

Ferd von Mueller.
